Are you an adult aged 60 to 80 who has used cannabis in the last year? Please consider participating in a research study investigating cannabis use and health or forwarding this information to someone you know who might be interested.

The purpose of this study is to understand the relationships among cannabis use, health, and everyday cognitive function. To qualify, you must be 60 to 80 years old, have used cannabis at least once a week within the last year, and reside in Colorado.

This study mostly happens in person. If you are interested in participating, you will first complete a short online survey (no more than 20 minutes) to see if you qualify.

If you qualify, a researcher will contact you to answer your questions and help schedule two sessions over the next nine months. If you decide to continue, you will visit the UCCS Gerontology Center for these sessions. Each session will take about 3 to 4 hours and will include questionnaires, providing a urine sample, and cognitive tests. Additionally, you will complete a short online survey each month, which takes about 20 minutes. In total, your participation will take about 10 to 12 hours over nine months. You will be compensated for your time.

If you are interested in getting more information or signing up to participate, please email nca@uccs.edu. Your participation is completely voluntary, and you can choose to be in the study or not and to stop at any time. This study is approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS).
